Bengaluru, May 25: Karnataka on Tuesday, May 25 registered 22,758 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 4,24,381. Bengaluru Urban reported 6243 new cases on Tuesday.
As many as 588 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Tuesday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 372 deaths. With this, the toll so far has risen to 26,399.
The state recorded 38,244 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 20,22,172.
So far, Karnataka has seen 24,72,973 positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 21.13%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.58%.
A total of 1,23,10,317 people have received the vaccination to date.
