Bantwal, May 26: Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik from his personal funds handed over 25 oxygen cylinders worth Rs 10 lac and five ICU beds with modern facilities to Bantwal government hospital on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the district administration gave the ASHA workers Covid kits for Covid patients
The MLA stated that 10,000 kits with all the necessary items were prepared for Covid infected. “1,000 kits among them are supplied to Bantwal. ASHA workers will deliver them to houses.”
349 oximeters were provided to ASHA workers. The work on two oxygen units is in progress in Bantwal taluk. Meanwhile, an oxygen unit is due to arrive from Coimbatore.
The MLA inspected the oxygen unit construction at Bantwal community health centre.
District panchayat CO Kumar, tahsildar Rashmi SR, Bantwal taluk health officer Deepa Prabhu, a community health centre in charge medical officer, Dr Saumya, taluk panchayat EO, Rajanna, BUDA president, Devadas Shetty, MLA’s war room officials, Devappa Poojary, Dombayya, Arala and Keshava Daipala were present.
