Udupi: Fraudsters create fake Facebook profile of DC Jagadeesh, ask for donations

Udupi, May 26: Unidentified miscreants have opened a fake Facebook account in the name of the district deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh on Wednesday, May 26. The handle had the photograph of the deputy commissioner as its profile pic.

The miscreants requested donations from the Facebook account with a means to slander the name of the DC.

A case under section 66 (c) and 66 (d) of the IT Act has been registered at Udupi CEN police station in this connection.
