Shivamogga, May 27: "Change of the chief minister in the state for now is impossible. No one can break the unity of the BJP legislators even if they put maximum efforts," said minister K S Eshwarappa.

Speaking in the city to media persons on Wednesday May 26, he said that the media has floated the rumour about party's leadership change. He stated that no media can break the unity of BJP and that the central leadership of the party too has confirmed that there will not be any change. At the same time, he agreed that he will abide by whatever decision the central leadership of the party take on the issue.

He wanted to know who wants to convene parliamentary party meeting at a time committees formed by the legislature are finding it hard to meet and even cabinet meetings are far between because of the prevailing situation. He stated that the legislators are busy in their constituencies and this is not the right time to demand for parliamentary party meeting.

Speaking at Athani, deputy chief minister Laxman Savadi said that the state has a capable chief minister and therefore there is no question of replacing him.

Political secretary to the chief minister, MP Renukacharya, speaking to reporters on Wednesday at Honnali, commented that there will not be any change in the state leadership just because a couple of people visited Delhi. He asked the legislators to serve their electorate to express gratefulness for electing them instead of engaging in politics. He said that those who indulge in politics and do not do what they are expected to, will be taught a fitting lesson by the voters of their constituencies.
