Bengaluru, May 27: Chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Thursday paid a floral tribute to India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his 57th death anniversary.
The chief minister garlanded the image of Nehru in Vidhana Soudha.
Later, the chief minister inspected the Covid Testing Mobile Clinic jointly established by the Rotary High Grounds unit and Saicorp Pvt Ltd under its Corporate Social Responsibility funds.
Rotary district governor Nagendra Prasad and its immediate past district governor, K P Nagesh, Tata Company managing director, Girish Krishnamurthy were present.
CM launches vaccination for street vendors
The chief minister, in the evening, launched the vaccination programme for street vendors. He also visited the vaccination centre of the Namma Metro for its construction workers under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
Revenue minister R Ashok, MLA Narayana Gowda, Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) chairman, S R Vishwanath, MP Tejasvi Surya and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) chief commissioner, Gaurav Gupta accompanied the chief minister.
Yediyurappa also inaugurated the 70-bed Covid hospital in the renovated Garden City Hospital at Jayanagar IV Block.
BDA chairman, S R Vishwanath, MP Tejasvi Surya and Garden City Hospital administration officers were present.
