Suspension on international flights extended till June 30

New Delhi, May 28 (IANS): India on Friday extended the suspension on international commercial flight operations till June 30, 2021.

"In partial modification of circular dated 26-06-2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of circular issued on the above subject... regarding scheduled international commercial passenger services to and from India till 2359 hrs IST of 30 June, 2021," the circular issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said.

The circular said that the restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.

Passenger air services were suspended on March 25, 2020 due to the nationwide lockdown to check the spread of Covid-19.

Domestic flight services, however, resumed from May 25, 2020.

There is no use of blaming the Chinese, the virus could have probably originated from their country and the entire world has been suffering not only India. If Pakistan and Bangladesh can have lower their COVID rate compared to India, we should blame out own country's government. The government should be held accountable for India's misery. If chinese could control their COVID rate, why can't India? But, our dear nation India did not do the needful. When we had surplus vaccines, our MODIJI sent vaccines to other countries to show he is doing charity. If that hypocrite could have thought about is own people first and started the vaccinated drive early, no one would be suffering today. Thanks to all those who elected for him!

The government had a year to prepare for this wave. But when 2021 began, it became complacent, dismantling temporary COVID-19 isolation centers, easing social distancing and lockdown measures, despite warning signs of a next wave and new variants in other countries. India has always had a gap in capacity vs. need in its healthcare system. Experts have warned about it for years. But India's leaders were overconfident that Hinduism, temples and a toothless defiance of COVID-19 would eventually "kick" the virus out of the country. On March 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a "hero" for many, addressed the nation and urged people to stay at home to prevent another lockdown. While he tried hard to glorify India's response to the current wave of COVID-19 infections, he didn't share any plans for an immediate investment in healthcare. The government is now mired in blaming the opposition and non-BJP controlled states for the mismanaged response. This level of dirty politics is endangering the lives of every Indian — even the ones who voted Modi and the BJP to power.

As per air transport bubble there is bilateral arrangement between India and the corresponding country which facilitates travel. Restrictions apply and change depending on the covid situation. I have seen many people using this air bubble for travel.

Many people held back who travelled on short vacation. If not returned on time visa will be expire automatically. Some companies even looking excuses to reduce staff as no businesses around. Many are taken loan for some purpose can be returned easily once work abroad. All dreams shattered with chinese lab virus. Here in India things are not normal. Hope things become good in coming months.

Its no point blaming the chinese labs. The matter is year old already. The problem now faced is how we tackle the problem now. And stopping the flights is not the solution. The livelyhood of most people is ruined due to such actions. What really was needed is our country too to have infrastructure and development in these mang years since independence. This has never happened and we all know for certain the reasons behind this. Even the oresent situation at hand; covid , this too is only driving the country into more misery. And its not because of the virus, but because of how poor sighted we are to not have the necessary when disaster has struck.
