Udupi: Farmers to receive compensation for loss suffered during lockdown

Udupi, May 28: Cultivators of flowers, fruits and vegetables will be compensated between Rs 2,000 and Rs 10,000 per hectare for the loss suffered due to the lockdown amid the second wave of coronavirus.

Farmers who are already registered on state government website FRUITS will be paid the compensation directly. Those who are not registered should submit a copy of their Aadhar card, bank passbook and mobile number details to the taluk office of the horticulture department
