Udupi, May 29: A vaccination camp was held by Shirva community health centre on DC’s directions at St Mary PU College, here. Only 200 vaccines were available. But about 300 to 350 people including those above 45 years and specially-abled waited since early morning.
Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha visited the vaccination centre at Shirva and expressed satisfaction about the arrangements.
He said that vaccines are being supplied in stages. “People should follow the Covid protocol to prevent the spread of the virus. As only 200 vaccines were received, those who have already received the tokens and did not receive the vaccines will receive them at the next camp.”
Shirva gram panchayat president K R Patkar said that making Shirva free from the virus is their intention.
