Kundapur, May 29: Udupi BJP Yuva Morcha donated Covid-19 kits worth Rs 8.5 lac to frontline warriors on the occasion of prime minister Narendra Modi completing seven years on May 30. On Saturday May 29, 25 blankets to cover bodies of Covid-19 victims were handed over to Kundapur health centre.
On the occasion, Udupi district Yuva Morcha president Vikyath Shetty said that the unit has been helping Covid-19 hit people since the start of the pandemic. Till now, 328 units of blood have been arranged for the district hospital. He also said that Rs 8.5 lac worth kit will be given to frontline warriors to commemorate PM completing seven years at office.
He also said that as many as 10,000 masks, sanitizers, PPE kits, hand wash liquid, oximeters have been arranged. Covid centres will be supplied these things along with fruits. The unit helped MESCOM staff, gas cylinder distributors, and press club members.
Yuva Morcha secretary Vinodraj Shantiniketan, Sharath Kumar Shetty Uppunda, Akshith Shetty, Abhiraj Suvarna, Kundapur Mandal Yuva Morcha president Avinash Ultoor, Prajwal Shetty, Lohith and Avinash were present.
