Bellary, Aug 21 (DHNS): Tourism Minister Janardhan Reddy on Friday demonstrated his proximity and affection for his mentor in politics – Sushma Swaraj- by dusting her sandals in public.
Sushma, the leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, was returning to her car after unveiling the statue of Durga Devi at Durgamma temple when she found flowers stuck in her slippers. While struggling to balance herself, she made efforts to remove flowers out of the sandals. Noticing this, Reddy bent, took her slippers and tapped them on the ground to dislodge flowers.
None, who were an eyewitness to this, raised their eyebrows. The Reddys have equated Sushma with their mother. Somashekar Reddy, MLA and Janardana Reddy’s brother, said, “Janardhana’s act was a show of respect to her.”
