Bantwal, May 31: “The government has implemented a programme titled ‘Vaidyara Nade Halliya Kade’ in order to create health awareness among villagers regarding Covid. A team of doctors involved in the programme will visit every house in the villages, conduct health examinations and provide the necessary information,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik.
He was speaking after setting in motion the taluk level programme at Balthila primary health centre premises on Monday.
Tahsildar Rashmi S R stated that the campaign is active across 17 centres at the taluk. “Doctors from A J Hospital and other health centres will visit houses and conduct medical tests,” she said.
Former district panchayat member, Kamalakshi K, Balthila health centre’s, Dr Chaitra, A J Hospital doctors, Dr Arjun, Dr Rohith Reddy, Dr Prathika, Dr Mohith, Dr Rithu, RBSK medical officer, Dr Yashodha, panchayat president, Hirannayi, vice president, Jyothi, gram panchayat members, Chandrashekar, Mallika, village accountant, Yashwitha, ASHA workers and health department staff members were present.
Revenue inspector, Rama Katipalla compered the programme.
