Mangalore: Dammam Accident - Three from District Killed

Mangalore, Aug 23: In a road accident that occurred near Dammam in Saudi Arabia on Sunday August 22, two children from a family and an adult from B C Road, died. Three others suffered injuries.

Mariam Nazia (13), daughter, and Mahij Mohammed (8), son,  of Moidin,  a resident of Krishnapura seventh block, and Moidin’s friend, Abdul Latif (35) from B C Road, were killed. Moidin’s wife, Noor Jahan (35), Riza Fatima and Aisha Afroze, were injured.

Moidin, his friend, Nazir, who was driving the car, and Rehiya Mumtaz, wife of Abdul Latif, escaped with minor injuries.  Moidin, originally a resident of Panambur, had been relocated to Krishnapur when the port was set up in Panambur. He has been working in Al Khobar near Dammam since the last 15 years.

They were returning after performing Umrah at Mecca and Ziyarat in Madina, in their Toyota Fortune car, on the highway to Riyadh. The accident occurred at An Nakia, 90 kms from Madina near Dammam, when a trailer hit their car from behind, it is gathered.
