Rahul urges citizens to raise voice for free Covid vaccination for all

New Delhi, Jun 2 (IANS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday appealed to the citizens of the nation to raise their voice in support of free Covid vaccination for all, as he underlined that the vaccine provides the strongest protection against the pandemic.

"Vaccine is the strongest protection against Covid pandemic. You also raise your voice to provide free vaccination to everyone and to wake the government," he tweeted.

Rahul also shared the hashtag #SpeakUpForFreeUniversalVaccination and attached a video over the Covid vaccine shortage in the country.

The vaccine is available free in India in government clinics, but it is better if can afford go to private hospitals pay and get vaccinated, so that poor people who cannot afford to pay will be vaccinated from the government quota.

Rs 800 for vaccine may not be big amount for govt workers(IT,Teachers, hospital workers) But the poor labor class, daily wage workers cannot even earn Rs 300 per day .Their life has been destroyed by the ruling govt with so many inconsistant rules& regulation benefiting upper class& Middle class . Pl see the dead bodies un accounted ,in thousands along Ganga river. We should have got free vaccine for all, like in other countries. .

I had my vaccination today at KMC Manalgore , Paid Rs 800/- . I think its not a big amount for a commoner these days. I saw many Bhaima Congress supporters as well outside and inside. So everything is fine, There is no scarcity . Yeah in Govt hospitals it takes time, there is a long wait. Its obvious when its free. Most of them spend a bomb on booze , I dont know why they cry for Rs 800/-.

Same even I had my appointment 2 days ago in kmc Jyothi. Take 850 is actually not a big amount. So people who can afford it should please get it from private hospitals instead of phcs. This will automatically speed up the vaccination programe and help even the poor get their jabs. There a lot of slots these days in private hospitals in mangalore
