M'lore: Samskara Bharati Celebrates Samskrutotsava

Mangalore, Aug 24: "Sanskrit is the most lucid of languages and hence very useful as a language for communication, said Kumble Ramakrishna Nayak.

He was speaking as a chief guest at the Samskrutotsava held at Balambhatta auditorium of Radhakrishna Mandir here on Sunday August 22. The festival was organzed by Samskara Bharati.

On the occasion, Innerwheel 318 president G G Mitra Prabhu, who was also a chief guest, also expressed here wish to learn Sanskrit.

Speaking at the programme, vedamurthy Narayan Bhat said that even now it is possible to converse in Sanskrit the way it was in the time of Panini. There are no Indian languages that has no Sanskrit word in it, he observed.

The children, who were winners of the various competitions organized as part of the festival were distributed pries on the occasion. Certificates to those who passed various examinations under Sringerisurasaraswatisabha and Rashtriya Samskruta Samsthana, New Delhi too were given away.

Samskara Bharati, Mangalore city president M Narasimha Acharya presided.
