KCA, UK Perform at Summer Fusion 2010, South Manchester Got Talent

Manchester, Aug 24: Manchester City Council In association with local groups held the “Summer Family Fusion 2010 and South Manchester Got Talent’ Show at Ladybarn Park here, recently. The main objective of the event was to showcase the talent of children and young people across the South Manchester area, with the main aim of bringing the local community together for an afternoon of music, dance, interactive entertainment and fun-filled activities.

Legendary Rugby player Paul Sculthorpe inaugurated the event.

Konkani Catholics' Association, UK one of the leading Konkani Association of United Kingdom got the chance to perform Hunter Dance (Kirata Nartya) on stage. It was a very proud moment, not only to KCA UK but to all Konkani people, when the compere gave a brief introduction of KCA UK, Konkani people and the nation to the gathering. More than 200 local people, including children were present at the event.

Ronald Lobo, Stany Rodrigues, Vinod Barboza and Rodney Rodrigues performed the dance. KCA UK
president Santhosh Pinto assisted in stage setting. The dance concept and costume was designed by Ravi Pinto. The dance was directed by Ronald Lobo and Santhosh Sequiera.
