Mangalore, Aug 25: Professor (Dr) U S Krishna Nayak, consultant orthodontist and dean, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, , will be part of a three- member official delegation of the Indian Dental Association and attend the annual World Dental Congress to be held at Salvador, Brazil from August 31 to September 5.

Dr Nayak was the former National president of Indian Dental association (IDA) and Indian Orthodontic society (IOS).

The World Dental Congress is the largest annual dental conference which will be attended by over 10,000 delegates from over 180 countries across the world.

The Congress will deliberate and formulate dental health policies for various countries including India. Seminars and workshops on latest in dental equipment, material and technology including implants, orthodontics, cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry will also be held.
 
Dr Nayak will also present a paper on the ‘Oral health status of Indian population’ at the Congress.
