Bangalore: CM, Home Minister, Resent Governor’s Remarks

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Aug 25: State Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, said that he has been deeply hurt by the remark passed by the state Governor, H R Bhardwaj that the BJP has been trying to get political mileage out of cow slaughter ban issue. “However, I do not want to pass comment on, or criticize the Governor’s remarks. I do not even want to analyze it,” he added.

He said that the state government has made its stand clear that the cow slaughter bill was passed with the interests of the farmers in particular and the state in general, in mind. “I leave the issue of supporting or rejecting the bill, to the discretion of the people,” he stated.

State home minister, Dr V S Acharya, also said that the BJP has decided to organize rallies to inform the people about the facts behind the decision of the Governor to refer the cow slaughter bill to the President. “The Governor, without endorsing the reasons behind his decision, simply returned the bill to the law department, directing it to forward the same to the President. We feel that this was not right. I do not want to go into what made him to take this step,” Acharya commented. He also said that the Governor chose not to give his assent to the bill, in spite of the fact that acts on the same lines are in force in seven states. While Maharashtra Control of Organized Crimes Act gets the nod, state’s act on these lines was not given approval. The amendment act to the Cooperative Societies Act also has not been given the go ahead,” he noted.

He strongly felt that the President will give her assent to the cow slaughter bill of the state, considering that fact that a seven-judge bench of the Supreme Court had passed judgment on the need to conserve cattle.

    Dear Ministers

stop blaming & trying to get vote bank by fooling people on religious grounds. Enough BJP has done in the past & again just to divert the anger & attension from Illegal mining this issue has been raised. Instead of thinking on cows wellfare pls think of human beings who are voting for you. Let them eat what they want since cow is not the property of the BJP nor BJP is providing free food for those cows & the owners. Be human dear politicians & dont bring the days to the indians where in the common indian needs to get the permission from the ministers whom they have voted. Requesting the cow slaughter bill thinking of farmers... wish the government really think so then please provide subsidy for farmers, better rate for the grown things, free food for the farmers & education to farmers children and show your real heartfeelings towards them & stop fooling the farmers.
