Udupi, Jun 7: “Yadamoge panchayat president who allegedly killed Yadamoge social activist after running over him with a car should be severely punished. Such incidents do not repeat when the guilty are severely punished. The elected representatives should be a model for the society and not those who create unrest,” urged Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj Organization district president, Roshni Olivera to the government.
“It is shameful for Udupi that such an incident has happened from a BJP-supported panchayat president. The membership of panchayat raj president, Pranesh Yadiwal who is responsible for the murder of the social activist should be terminated immediately.”
“The government should release Rs 25 lac as compensation for the family of the deceased,” urged Olivera.
