Mangalore Diocese Bids Farewell to IGP Hosur

Mangalore, Aug 26: On behalf of Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza, a delegation of Christian leaders led by public relation officer Fr William Menezes met the outgoing IGP Gopal Hosur and bid farewell to him on Thursday August 26.


Speaking on the occasion, Fr Menezes lauded the service of Hosur towards the society. He said that Bishop has conveyed his wishes to Hosur and he will be remembered in their prayers.

Congress leader and advocate Ivan D’Souza said that some of the important decisions taken by Hosur have been of benefit to the society at large and he was happy with it.

CODP director Fr Onil D’Souza, Catholic Sabha director Fr Vincent Monteiro, ICYM director Fr Anil D’Souza, Catholic Sabha former president Lancy D’Cunha, MCC Bank director Raymond D’Cunha, Christopher Association president Sushil Noronha and ICYM unit president Royston Fernandes among others were present.

    I am happy to see some of our religous priests , along with prominent leaders of catholic community now coming in public life to appreciate some of the good work done by Government officials. I must congratulate those leaders along with priests, to encourage young catholic men and women to be in the public to safe guard our community to safe guard and secure our rights.
