Bangalore, Aug 27: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Abdul Nasser Madani, has been remanded to judicial custody till September 7. His ten-day police custody ended on Thursday August 26.

On producing him before the court of the additional chief metropolitan magistrate, Venkatesh Hulagi, on Thursday afternoon, his remand was extended. While issuing this order, the magistrate stipulated that Madani’s health check up should be conducted in a way that does not interfere with Madani’s routine. He also told the concerned to ensure that there is no deficiency in food, accommodation etc., being provided to Madani.

The city police commissioner had told the media on Wednesday that the policemen, who have gathered some important information from the accused, may require to question Madani further to extract more details. However, the policemen did not pray for the extension of police custody when the PDP leader was produced in the court on Thursday.
