Bantwal, Jun 12: Seven years of completion of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s administration was celebrated in a unique way by distributing bonds of BJP Kshema Nidhi bonds to the beneficiaries at Nadulachil of Maninalkooru village.
MP Nalin r Kateel and MLA Rajesh Naik distributed the bonds to two girls who have lost their mother and inaugurated the programme.
Anusuya, resident of Perinje in Venoor of Beltangady taluk died within three months after delivering the second baby. Revathi Krishnappa, resident of Nadulachil in Maninalkooru village and elder sister of Anusuya looks after three-month-old Poorvika and two-year-old Amshika. Bantwal BJP had taken on the responsibility of health and education of these children. At present bonds worth Rs 25,000 (Rs 2000 per month) were given. The children will get Rs one lac when they attain the age of 16 years.
Speaking on the occasion, Nalin Kateel said, “It is a proud moment that BJP Kshema Nidhi project is implemented for the first time in the country in the constituency of Bantwal. This scheme which is the brainchild of MLA Rajesh Naik is implemented throughout the country by PM Modi. BJP party thinks of supporting children who have lost their parents or families who are financially distraught. The idea of Anthyodaya of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya is brought into implementation by Rajesh Naik in Bantwal. The MLAs are doing this at individual level as an inspiration from Bhagyalaxmi scheme of CM Yediyurappa.
Rajesh Naik said, “BJP Kshema Nidhi project is implemented today and it is given to eligible families. Let the future of children be bright. This scheme which was introduced for children who were orphaned due to Covid is extended to all children who are in difficulty.”
Expressing her gratitude, an emotional Revathi, who has taken care of bringing up her sister’s children said, “I am not financially strong to look after the two children of my younger sister. But I have brought them with courage to look after them. Now BJP had taken the responsibility of their education and health. I am so happy that I cannot express my happiness in words. My sister’s soul will be satisfied.”
