Mangaluru, Jun 16: A team of youngsters belonging to a volunteer organisation have constructed a house for a poor family under the leadership of G T Rajaram Bhat, convenor of Sharada Ganapathi Vidyakendra, Kairangala.
RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat commended the noble deed. He handed over the keys of the house to the family of Narayan Poojary, lit the lamp in the home and planted a tulsi in the yard and spoke to news reporters.
He said that 80% of the people in the country are Hindus and residence is the centre of our religion and culture. Such a temple has come up here.
BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri, Mysore Electrical Industries Limited, Bengaluru, president, Santhosh Kumar Rai, BJP Mangaluru block president, Chandrahas Pandith, house and land donor, Dosemane Shankar Bhat, Hindu Jagarane Vedike's Narasimha Mani, BJP Yuva Morcha president, Sachin More, Hindu organization activists and others were present.
People who worked free of charge in the construction and donors were honoured. G T Rajaram Bhat compered the programme.
