Mangaluru, Jun 17: Dakshina Kannada Youth Congress for the 50th day consecutively distributed food kits to the needy.

Following the lockdown, members of the Youth Congress distributed food in Ladygoshen hospital to patients and their caretakers, vendors in and around central market and to the destitute in the city.

Speaking to daijiworld.com, Luqman Bantwal said, "As a youth wing of a responsible party, we distributed food kits to the needy. For 50 days we have been distributing food kits. As a concept of Gandhi's Ramarajya, the basic facility should reach the last person in society. But, the administration of the BJP-led union government and state government failed the middle class in society. Hence, the Youth Congress is filling this gap. People standing in a queue to satisfy their basic needs is a mirror of the BJP administration. The MP's war room and the district-in-charge minister have failed to reach out to the people during the pandemic.

Approximately 20,000 food kits have been distributed by the Youth Congress, he added.

He also said that if the BJP top brass waits patiently, people will change the chief minister of Karnataka.
