New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wednesday charged the leaders of the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) with losing their "grip" on the government.
"The leadership of the government... it appears to be losing its grip on government," said Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and her Rajya Sabha counterpart Arun Jaitley, citing the differences within the government and the ruling Congress on various bills and policies during the monsoon session of parliament that concluded Tuesday.
Saying that there was no cooperation among various ministries on implementing developmental projects, Jaitley said there was also "a gap" between ministers and Congress MPs and it was widening.
Jaitley also said the government should not act out of "panic" on Jammu and Kashmir.
Swaraj said the BJP played a responsible opposition's role in both houses of parliament during the session.
