Mangalore: Man Electrocuted in Maroly

Mangalore, Sep 2: A person working as a servant in a house in Maroli in the city was electrocuted on Wednesday September 1. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh K (20), a native of Chittur in Palakkad, Kerala state.

Rajesh used to work as an assistant cook in a house in Maroly since the last two years. He was the son of Krishnan Kutty from Pallasan village in Chittur, Palakkad. On Wednesday, he threw a plastic bag containing trash, out of the compound of the house. The bag got entangled in the high tension power cables that passed in front the house. Rajesh was electrocuted when he tried to remove it with the help of an iron road.

It is learnt that there were a couple of others on the spot when the tragedy occurred, but they were helpless to do anything to save Rajesh.
