New Delhi, Jun 26 (IANS): As the farmers are intensifying their protest over the three farm laws on the completion of seven months of their agitation at the borders of the national capital, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday came out in their support saying we are with the "farmers".

In a tweet in Hindi, Rahul Gandhi said, "It's simple - We are with Satyagrahi Annadata (farmers)."

The Congress Lok Sabha MP from Kerala's Wayanad tweeted with the hashtag #Farmersprotest. On the completion of seven months of their protest at several points on the borders of the national capital, the farmers under the banner of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) are observing 'Kheti Bachao, Loktantra Bachao Diwas".

Farmers will also visit the Raj Bhavan (the Governor House) in several states.

The farmers from Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh have been protesting demanding the withdrawal of three farm laws and ensuring MSP for their produce since November 26 last year.

    Antony,close your eyes, just think for a minute, if real farmers are protesting and are or the streets for months as you say in the parts called the food bowl of India, why there is know shortage of foograins in India and the exports have also not stopped. That means the real farmers are happy and content with the new farm laws and are toiling in the fields to feed us. The so called farmers protesting are middlemen, owners of large farms and farm houses they have got nothing to do with farmers, they are protesting because they no more can harass the poor farmer to sell his products to them.

    The BJP Govt has made a mockery of Parlimentary Democracy by passing these Farm Bills without any discussion in the house or taken any Parlimentary bodies into confidence. It is clear to the people of our country that these three farm bills was a dubious case of match fixing by Modi and Amit Shah for their crony capitalists friends like Ambani and Adani. The elaborate advance preparations , go downs, super markets, land acquisitions and other arrangements by industrialists Abmani and Adani are already in the public domain. These crony capitalists will then dominate the agriculture sector and render the farmers vulnerable and vanquished. . They finally passed it in the Rajya Sabha in a most deceitful manner through a voice vote just to please their Crony Capitalist friends at the expense of the Farmers. A Suit Boot Ki Sarkar that is totally insensitive, Callous, Indifferent, Arrogant and Autocratic that cares two hoots for the lower sections of our society including farmers. "Since Independence, it is for the first time that an arrogant government has come to power. It is not even looking at the pain and sufferings of farmers, forget about the common man,"If Agriculture is a State subject the why has the center passed Bills on Farm Laws on Agriculture
