Dubai Customs Seize 3 kg Opium Hidden in Toys


Dubai, Sep 5 (IANS/WAM): Dubai Customs have seized three kilograms of opium hidden inside four wooden toys from a plane bound for Europe, it was announced Sunday.

A customs inspector found "some lumpiness" when he checked the parcel containing four wooden toys and a bag through his X-ray machine. The plane arrived from an Asian country.

The K9-Dogs Squad and the Customs mobile laboratory were called in to check the cargo. Both confirmed it contained three kilograms of opium. Owners of the cargo were arrested.
