Koppal, Jul 1: Showing a marked climb down from his earlier defiant posture, tourism minister, C P Yogeshwar, questioned the media persons why he is being pitted as a villain against chief minister (CM), B S Yediyurappa. By saying that people who confront the chief minister will turn into ashes, he gave away the impression that he does not want to take on Yediyurappa anymore.
He was speaking to media persons near Anjanadri Hill here on Wednesday June 30. He said that Yediyurappa is his leader, and he does not want to target him. "We have not been trying to unseat the chief minister as is being made out. We have some internal problems, and we visit Delhi to explain about our worries to the leaders and there is no issue other than that," he explained.
On the issue of meeting dissident MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and Sri Basavajaya Mrityunjaya Swamiji, he said he was in Kalaburagi about the proposed three star hotel there when he had met Yatnal. He however, said he is ignorant about the statement of Ramesh Jarkiholi that three BJP leaders had meted out injustice to him.
