Rahul targets govt once again over Covid vaccination policy

New Delhi, Jul 3 (IANS): Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday once again targeted the government over its vaccination policy, saying "mind the gap".

In a tweet, the Congress leader said, "Mind the gap."

He tweeted with the hashtag #Wherearevaccines.

He also attached graphics of the cumulative vaccination tracker to back his claims.

Earlier on Friday, Rahul Gandhi had said that July has come but vaccines have not, drawing a sharp rebuttal from the BJP.

The Congress leader has been critical of the government over its Covid vaccination policy.

    While the newspapers are giving out reports day in and day out about the scarcity of vaccination; fisticuffs by people being sent away after standing in long queues for vaccination; GOI itself rationing vaccinations to States; fall in the percentage of people vaccinated every day, it is surprising that the GOI Ministers of Health and others are justifying that vaccines are sufficiently available. Right through the pandemic first wave, Rahul has been cautioning the GOI not to be complacent as a more disastrous second wave is definitely going to hit the nation, the Government of India was in comatose state oblivion of the impending danger allowing Kumb Melas and organising election rallies. The end result is for all to see - heartbreaking deaths caused due to lack of ICU facility, oxygen, medicines, doctors, ambulances, and also space for cremation. It appears the Ministers are directed to defend the PM & the HM of GOI irrespective of the ground situation by justifying a lie as truth. Disgusting.
