Bantwal, Jul 3: A new Rotary Club was established at Modankap under the leadership of Rotary Club Bantwal and its charter was handed over on June 28. Bantwal Rotary Club president K Narayana Hegde inaugurated the programme through a zoom meeting.
Rotary district 3181 district governor, M Ranganath Bhat handed over the new club’s charter to the new president, Elias Sanctis.
Elias Sanctis took charge as the president of the new club, P A Rahim as secretary, Preema Violet Fernandes as treasurer, V K Prasanna Kumar as vice president, Diwaker Shetty Parariguthu as director of the club's services, Roshan Rai in charge of community service, Sunil Kunder - professional services, Roshan Prem D’Souza – international services, Prakhyat Chouta – youth services, Dr Govardhan Rao president assigned for next term, Paul Carlo – chairman, Vishwaprasad Hedge, Arun Kumar, Mallika V Shetty, Stany D’Souza, Hemachandra Vakil and Donald D’Souza took charge as a sergeant with arms.
Rotarian N Prakash Karanth, assigned district governor, Rotarian Pratapsimha Nayak – assistant governor zone 4, Yathikumar Swamy Gouda – assistant governor zone 4, soldier Jayaraja Bangera, governor’s special representative B Sanjiva Poojary, base organization secretary Vani Karanth and B C Road church parish priest Fr Valerian D’Souza were the guests of honour.
District governor M Ranganath Bhat desired that the people in the vicinity obtain excellent service from Rotary Club and said that the new president and his team should work keeping in mind the Rotary principles.
Assigned district governor Rotarian Prakash Karanth said that Rotary is giving importance to the education sector. “May the number of Rotary members increase to provide more social work.”
Governor’s special representative B Sanjiva Poojary introduced the new members. New club secretary P A Rahim thanked the gathering. Ronald D’Souza compered the programme.
