Mangaluru: Minister JC Madhuswamy presides over meeting about minor irrigation projects

Mangaluru, Jul 3: “The master plan of the minor irrigation department will be brought to the notice of the concerned MLA. The works suggested by the MLA will be taken up on priority,” said minister of minor irrigation and Tumkur district in charge minister J C Madhuswamy. He was speaking after presiding over a progress review meeting at the circuit house here on July 3 of projects concerning minor irrigation.

“More than 35 Kindi dams' construction is taken up at Paschimavahini project for supply of water for drinking and irrigation,” he said. The tenders invited for various projects should be approved and the works should be conducted soon, he said.

Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLA Umanath Kotian, Vedavyas Kamath, Rajesh Nayak, U T Khader, Sanjiva Matandoor, Bharath Shetty, department secretaries Mrathyunjaya Swamy, department Mysuru circle’s S C Rajashekar Yadalli, minor irrigation department engineer in the district, Gokuldas, assistant executive engineer Vishnu Kamath, staff Shiva Prasanna, Rakesh, Anand, Lavish and others were present.
