Karnataka's single-day positivity rate stands at 1.94%, case fatality at 2.3%

Bengaluru, Jul 5: Karnataka on Monday, July 5 reported 2,848 new coronavirus cases as per the bulletin by the state health department.

As of Monday, the active cases in the state have dropped to 41,996. Bengaluru Urban's recorded 520 new cases and continued to have the highest single-day tally among all districts in the state.

As many as 67 deaths due to coronavirus were reported on Monday, with Dakshina Kannada recording 12 deaths, the most compared to other districts. With this, the toll so far has risen to 35,434.

The state recorded 5,631 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 27,79,038.

So far, Karnataka has seen 28,56,491 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stood at 1.94%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.35%.

As many as 2,40,91,357 people in Karnataka have received vaccination against coronavirus.

    We have very special characters of death in chamrajnagar and Mangalore. The positive cases death highest in Mangalore and chamrajnagar death for other reasons highest. So positive cases of other districts of the state need to be investigated. If it is true why Mangalore allowed unlock with out social distance in buses and market place and commercial and religious institutions.who is responsible for death
