July 6: Dakshina Kannada reports 216 new cases, Udupi 113; 14 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, July 6: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, July 6 reported 216 new coronavirus cases and thirteen deaths, while Udupi reported 113 fresh cases and one death.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 10,91,679 samples have been tested so far.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 94,288 out of which 2,835 are currently active. The positivity rate of district is 3.31%.

As many as 613 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday.

The district recorded thirteen deaths due to coronavirus on Tuesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1268.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 95,81,217 as fine in 78,682 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 6,97,115 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 113 new cases were reported on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases to 67,024 out of which 878 are currently active.

A total of 71 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday.

Coronavirus has claimed 398 lives in the district so far, including one on Saturday.

Till now, 4,30,760 people have received the first dose of vaccination, while 1,31, 105 have received the second dose.
