Kundapur, Jul 6: Congress state president D K Shivakumar visited Basrur Moodkeri Kotichennaya Panjurli Garadi on Tuesday July 6 evening.

The priest of the Garadi garlanded the Congress leader at the entrance and welcomed him. D K Shivakumar who offered a special puja was felicitated.

An appeal was submitted on behalf of Billava Sangha to D K Shivakumar. Former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MLA K Gopala Poojary, district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Kundapur block Congress president Hariprasad Shetty, Byndoor Congress president Madan Kumar, former president Malyadi Shivarama Shetty, Raju Poojary, Vikas Hegde, Kundapur taluk Billava Sangha president Ashok Poojary Beejadi and others were present.

The Congress leader later visited the residence of late Udaya Ganiga who was murdered at Yadamoge on June 5 and expressed condolences to the family members of the deceased.
