Sullia, Sep 8: On Tuesday September 7 morning, Sharat V (15), a tenth standard student of Subrahmanya PU College, committed suicide by hanging himself.
Sharat, son of Vasudeva Gowda from Markanja, was good in studies. He attended his classes regularly till Monday, but on Tuesday morning, he committed suicide in the cattle shed adjacent to his house. Reasons for the sudden turnoff events are not known.
He is survived by parents and a brother. The school declared holiday on Tuesday and organized a condolence meeting. A complaint was lodged in Subrahmanya police station in this regard.
