Udupi, Jul 7: It is apparent that even though the leaders have been claiming otherwise, the tussle about who will be the next chief ministerial candidate of the Congress continues to blaze.
Mohammed Nalapad, son of high profile MLA N A Haris, who will take over the mantle of the state youth Congress from Raksha Ramaiah in January next year, said that KPCC president, D K Shivakumar, will be the next chief minister Karnataka.
Nalapad was chatting with fisherwomen during his visit to Udupi when the issue of the chief minister cropped up. He said that the next assembly election is due in two years, and if everyone votes, D K Shivakumar will become the next chief minister.
Nalapad has accompanied Shivakumar in his tour of coastal Karnataka. Nalapad's stand gains significance at a time when the issue of the next chief minister has been a burning topic among the Congressmen now.
