Udupi: Unlicensed, unauthorized vehicles plying on road will be seized - RTO JP Gangadhar

Udupi, Jul 7: Regional transport officer (RTO) JP Gangadhar on Wednesday, July 7 informed that the vehicles running without a permit, timings, and vehicles that were not released after surrendering the document will be seized.

Action will be taken against private buses, KSRTC, maxi cab owners, and drivers who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19. Those found working without masks will be facing strict action as per the law.

As per the court order, any vehicles should not use names, symbols, or emblems above the number plate. Vehicle owners who violate the order will be penalised.

He also informed that as many as 233 buses were released after they provided proper documentation.

    Now that 80% work can be done online, and many at authorized driving schools, one need not visit RTO. The extra staff at RTO should be redeployed for checking vehicles, esp. without number plates and fake number plates, as they are used for illegal purposes.

    There are lot of two wheelers plying in manipal without number as well regn of other states these are used for illegal activities. Take a survey in every building you will find two 2 wheelers parked for such purpose. Every cop knows this but no action on this till today.

    Good one from RTO ... Check mainly buses , rikshaw, local lorry, and those who are riding bikes without helmets, and mainly put a heavy fines those who don't have parking sence ..... Like in two wheeler parking , 4 wheelers park thier cars , and in 4 wheeler parking two wheelers will park thier bikes this as to be stop ... Specially near udupi Church to till municipality building ...

    Very good ! also include riders without helmets, those who remove rear view mirrors, put extra LED lights, using abnormal horns, dark tint on window glass.

    What a strange announcement .. Does it mean till now they were allowing unlicensed unauthorised vehicles Although one knows in private this Racket is going on Is it An open admission of guilt / sorry state of affairs

    The period for which vehicles were banned to fly ,and taxes such period either refunded or period for payment of tax such period extended. It will be lawful to do such acts.

    Sir, i personally notice that mostly havey vehicles are running on road without break lights and without indicator lights in udupi district . Its dangerous coming from behind....please notice that Its cost
