Kasargod, Jul 7: Bhandari Swagath Ranveerchand is appointed as the new district collector (DC) of Kasargod. Incumbent DC Dr D Sajith Babu has been appointed as director of civil supplies department.
Bhandari, who served as the director of industrial department, is the 24th DC of the district. She is the first woman DC of the district.
Bhandari is of the 2010 IAS batch and had secured 69th rank in the civil service examination then.
Current DC of the district Dr Sajith Babu, who took charge as DC of the district on July 18, 2018, served the district for three years. He was praised for his work as an honest and able DC.
