Bangalore, Sep 8: Governor of state Hansraj Bhardwaj hoisted the flag of Blessed Mother Mary at St Mary’s Basilica Shivajinagar during the Novena celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Bharadwaj lauded the contribution of Christians towards society. He said that it was a great privilege to be the part of the celebration. India is a country where people of different religion live in harmony and one should feel proud to be the citizen of India, he added.
Archbishop Bernard Moras welcomed the gathering. He said that Mother Mary, the mother of Lord Jesus is interceding for the whole world, for our country and especially for our state
Dr Joshi, director of Doordharshan Kendra was also present on the occasion. Thousands of people of all faiths participated in the Novena celebration.
