Kundapur, Jul 8: “I do not have to confirm with who I have maintained attachment. I am with Congress, Congress activists and the people of the state. A defamation case of Rs 208 crore against Yatnal is already registered over his loose talk,” said KPCC president D K Shivakumar reacting to the statements by MLA Yatnal.
He was speaking to newspapers at Sun Castle Homestay, Beejadi seashore near here on Wednesday.
“The chief minister and the health minister have not admitted Yatnal to hospital for his mental instability. He is under the illusion that he will become a big leader if he mentions my name. His statements do not deserve an answer,” he said.
“The 25 MPs elected from the state are not trying to obtain the pending GST amount to the state. They are unjust towards the state after receiving votes from the state's people. The finance minister and the MPs of the ruling party are not taking the initiative."
Reacting to the statement by MP Sumalatha that D K Shivakumar had released funds for the repairs of K R S dam when he was the minister of human resources he said, "The amount might have been released for minor repairs. There is a division to provide details of cracks and other technical details. Works are being conducted only on the basis of their report and suggestions. It is better if everybody stops creating anxiety and making statements for publicity.
“Congress party is campaigning for justice to fishermen, toddy men and all groups of people. People with BPL cards are changed to APL cards. Poor people are lamenting that they are not getting government facilities because of that. The government that cannot hear their grievances does not have eyes, ears or heart,” he said.
Former Byndoor MLA K Gopala Poojary, KPCC office-bearer Raghunandan, Bengaluru’s entrepreneur U B Shetty, taluk Billava Samaja Seva Sangha president Ashok Poojary Beejady, Sahana groups promote Surendra Shetty, fishermen leader Madan Kumar Uppunda and Kundapur municipal council member K G Nityananda were present.
