Mangalore: Youth Year Inaugurated at Fajir

Mangalore, Sep 8: "When the youth offer their talent and time with full dedication, they need to be guided well, to truly become the agents of change in the church and society," said Fr Stany Pereira, Fajir Youth Director.

He was speaking after inaugurating Youth Year at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir here on Wednesday September 8. Fr Periera inaugurated the Youth Year by unfolding the Banner Of Youth Year with theme, Youth For Peace and Harmony along with Fr Prakash Anil Castelino, resident priest.

John Victor Mendonca , Parish Parishad vice-president, John Fernandes, parishad secretary, Sr Olivia UFS, superior - Mother of Mercy Convent, Preetham Noronha, in-charge president of ICYM, Jolly D’Souza, president of YCS and Preemal D’Souza, secretary of YCS were present.

Salvina D’Souza, secretary of ICYM Compered the programme. Indian Catholic Youth Movement Fajir unit co-ordinated the programme.

    Our future lies with our Youth. Luckily India can boast of Youth Power.I am glad that my grand father's parish Fajir has inaugurated Youth Year.I wish them all the best, and I hope the Parish Priest along with Resident Priest Fr. Anil Castelino can do wonders. Dear Youth and Parishioners use Fr. Anil's potential to the fullest. He is a gem of a priest.
