ICAI Mangaluru branch hosts 50th annual general meeting

Mangaluru, Jul 10: The 50th annual general meeting of the Mangaluru branch of ICAI, New Delhi was held on July 9 at the 'ICAI Bhavan' Padil, here.

Due to Covid restrictions, the meeting was held in 'Phygital' mode on the online 'Zoom' platform. Branch chairman CA K S Kamath welcomed the members of the committee and those attending the AGM through the Zoom platform.

The annual report of CA members and students and the audited balance sheet and income & expenditure account were presented at the meeting. The report was unanimously approved. Branch secretary CA Prasanna Shenoy M proposed the vote of thanks.

CA Gautham Nayak, treasurer; CA Gautham Pai D; SICASA chairman; CA S S Nayak, immediate past chairman; past chairman CA Anantha Padmanabha and many CA members were present.

Past chairmen CA M N Pai, CA Keshava Ballakuraya and CA Bhargava Tantri presented many suggestions and offered guidance to the committee. Many CA members applauded the professional and student-friendly programmes at the Mangaluru branch.

The Mangaluru branch celebrates its golden jubilee this financial year of 2020-21 and as part of the celebrations Rs 7.50 lac worth of equipment was donated to the District Wenlock Hospital; as part of the 73rd CA Day celebration, Rs 73,000 was donated to Child Protection Centre, Kuthar, a vaccination drive was organised for CA members, CA students and their family members etc. Numerous programmes on Budget Analysis, MSME Day celebrations are being held in association with other organizations from time to time by the Mangaluru branch of ICAI.
