Belagavi, Jul 15: In an incident which happened in Kangra K H village in the taluk on Wednesday July 14, a man who killed his two daughters by feeding them poison, also tried to end his own life.

The condition of the accused father, Anil Chandrakanth Bandekar (45), is critical. His children, Anjali (8) and Ananya (4) passed away on their way to hospital. His wife is said to be at Vijayanagar near Hindalaga.

Anil was skilled in fixing the tiles. It is said that his wife is in Vijayanagar near Hindalga. The police said that Anil was going through a lean patch as he did not get work during the lockdown and as such, was facing financial crisis.
