Jul 15: Dakshina Kannada reports 224 new Covid cases, 110 in Udupi; 8 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 15: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, July 15 reported 224 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of positive cases to 96,215. The positivity rate of the district is 3.05%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 11,57,296 samples have been tested, of which 10,61,081 are negative.

There are currently 1,960 active cases in the district.

As many as 190 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday and raising the number of recoveries to 92,908.

The district recorded seven deaths on Thursday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,347.

The district administration has collected Rs 98,32,667 in fines for 80,656 incidents of mask violation.

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 7,25,834 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 110 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 67,999 out of which 944 are currently active.

A total of 97 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total recoveries to 66,652.

Coronavirus has claimed 403 lives in the district so far.

4,56,159 people have received the first dose of vaccination, while 1,56,065 have received the second dose.
