Bengaluru, Jul 16: For the first time after Prime Minister Modi conducted a rejig of his cabinet, chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, is scheduled to visit New Delhi today. Attention of the people is riveted on this meeting as there is likelihood of the state cabinet reshuffle being discussed.
As per sources in the chief minister's office, his visit is meant to get the central government nod for the proposed Mekedatu project. However, it is also said that the state cabinet rejig is a part of the agenda for the meeting.
Yediyurappa will meet the PM at 7 pm today. It is said that apart from Mekedatu project he will also speak about the state's political developments.
On July 26, the BJP will be completing two years in office. There have been demands tor reorganizing the ministry and give chance to some new faces. Therefore, Yediyurappa may discuss this issue with the party leaders, it is said. But the CM has claimed that the purpose of his visit is to discuss the pending irrigation projects and there is no political agenda.
