Bengaluru, Jul 21: Physical classes’ commencement issue may be decided by July end, said primary and secondary education minister, S Suresh Kumar.

Speaking after releasing the second PU result on Tuesday, he said that the workforce headed by the commissioner in the department of public instruction, Anbukumar, which has been formed to prepare report on when colleges, schools and PU colleges can be reopened, will hold another round of meetings and then submit report. He said that based on the said report, a final decision would be taken by the end of July.

On the question of refunding the examination fee collected for the second PU examination for the year 2020-21 as the examinations were not held, he said there is no such proposal before the government. He mentioned that the department has met expenses which were more than the examination fee collected to announce the result. He therefore said there is no question of any refund.
