Mangaluru, Jul 23: The second and final day of the SSLC examination which was held duly observing corona-related precautions on Thursday July 22 went off uneventfully.
Out of the private and repeat students who registered themselves in Udupi district, 14 absented for the first language, 13 for the second language, and 13 for the third language. In Dakshina Kannada, 25 did not take the first language exam, 27 did not appear for the second language exam, and 29 absented from the third language examination. Five corona-affected students in Udupi district and 15 from Dakshina Kannada appeared for the examination in different Covid care centres. As many as 331 registered students from Kerala also appeared for the examination. Thirty-seven students answered the question papers in separate rooms because of ill health.
Examinations were held in 72 centres of Udupi and 179 in Dakshina Kannada. Education minister, S Suresh Kumar, has said that the result will most probably be declared by August 10.
