Bangalore: Madani Judicial Custody Extended

Bangalore, Sep 15: On Tuesday September 14, the judicial custody of People’s Democratic Party leader, Abdul Nasser Madani, arrested in connection with 2008 serial blasts in the city, was extended till September 28. Madani’s anticipatory bail petition had been dismissed by the fifth fast track court here on Monday.

While all the other serial blasts accused were produced in the court on Tuesday before the additional chief metropolitan magistrate, Madani’s presence was recorded through video conferencing facility.

Magistrate Venkatesh Hulagi, while extending the bail, also instructed Omkaraiah, heading the team investigating the serial blasts, to file a copy of the charge sheet in the court.
