Bengaluru, Jul 24: The state government, which had allowed devotees to visit temples, mosques, churches and other centres of worship and pay obeisance after the unlocking of rules relating to covid second wave, had continued to ban offering of services. distribution of Prasadam etc inside these centres. Now the state government has lifted the restriction.
From July 25 onward, all the services have been allowed to be offered in these centres subject to following the covid guidelines.

An official order in this respect was issued by the state government on Saturday July 24. At present, only offering of services has been allowed by relaxing earlier rules. Organizing of fairs, processions, meetings etc are not permitted, said principal secretary in the revenue department, N Manjunatha Prasad, in an order issued by him,
The chief commissioner of BBMP, police commissioner, deputy commissioners, district superintendents of police, heads of other departments and officials have been asked to strictly implement the order
Amusement parks and such other venues have been permitted to open subject to compliance with rules relating to coronavirus. However, water sports and waeer-related adventure activities are not permitted, the order explained.
Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, Kota Srinivas Poojary, who also is in charge of muzrai department, said that he had met the chief minister personally and requested him to allow offering of services in the religious centres. On the basis of his request, the government has now allowed to offer puja and distribution of Prasadam, the minister said, and thanked the chief minister for the same in a tweet.
