Bengaluru, July 27: Union Education Minister and Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy arrived as Central observers for electing the new BJP legislature party leader to replace outgoing Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Tuesday.
The two BJP national observers were received by senior State leaders Basavaraj Bommai and Jagadish Shettar.
The two BJP central observers will be meeting different leaders in preparation for the State BJP legislature party leader to find an acceptable successor to Yediyurappa.
BJP National General Secretary and Karnataka in charge Arun Singh will also be joining the two Central observers for the consultations to finalise a name. It is understood that the internal discussions could be carried over the next two days and the State Legislature Party meeting is likely to be convened on Thursday or Friday.
It is not clear with the two Central observers have come with any message from BJP high command, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as well as BJP national president J P Nadda.
